Currículo Resumido / Short resume

Clarisse Ribeiro graduated in Biomedical Engineering with the master in Electronic Medicine in 2008 and received the PhD degree in Physics in 2012, both from the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal. From 2012 to 2014 she was also Visiting Researcher at the INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory. From 2013 to 2019, she is a Post-Doc researcher at the Physics Centre and Centre of Biological Engineering of University of Minho and at the moment she is a junior researcher at the same centers with a strong background in novel materials and strategies for active tissue engineering applications. Her current research interest is the development and use of electroactive materials for tissue engineering applications. She possess expertise in the area of interface between biomaterials/nanostructured materials and cell types and tissues, smart scaffold processing and cell culture for active tissue engineering with leading publications and innovation. Furthermore, she presents expertise in novel bioreactors design/implementation taking advantage of the developed materials to create suitable cell microenvironments.
